Last week I started weaving a very simple blue silk shawl. It is one colour but using a simple block twill there are squares all the way down the shawl. Hard to take really effective photograph but I think you will see what I mean.
Tomorrow it will be off the loom and I will start the long task of checking the fabric for errors and then "twiddling" the ends to make fringe. It should be in the shop by Saturday.
Just for fun I've added a photo of the silk running through the heddles on the loom.
