This beautiful design is created in different colourways.    Sometimes the stained glass effect runs all along the scarf or shawl.    Sometimes it is used as a frame around a second design.    

The silk is hand dyed by me in my French studio and then laboriously wound on to the loom and then woven by hand.   The resulting item is silky and has a wonderful texture.    It glows in the light and the colours interact as it moves.
